We offer guidelines, resources, and professional development for teachers they can make good decisions about student learning.

Media Center

Jackson County Public Schools teaches the NC Standard Course of Study as adopted and facilitated through the NC Department of Public Instruction.  You can find the Standard Course of Study that all NC public schools are expected to teach at https://www.dpi.nc.gov/districts-schools/classroom-resources/academic-standards/standard-course-study 

Materials in libraries and media centers are reviewed by School Media Coordinators who are licensed by the state of NC and who possess a master's degree in Library Science. School Media Coordinators review and vet all resources placed in school media centers.
